A travel photographer’s story: Casa Blanca on Camber Sands
Nestled on the iconic Camber Sands, Casa Blanca Beach House is a retreat that effortlessly blends luxury with the wild beauty of nature. Managed by the wonderful team Camber Holiday Cottages, this exceptional property is more than just a getaway, it’s an experience.
With panoramic views wrapping around you and a garden gate that opens directly onto the vast beach, Casa Blanca invites moments of stillness. As well as connection with earth, sky, and sea. This stay, graciously arranged by Massey Travel, offered an unparalleled opportunity to showcase the magic of this space. Through storytelling, using photography, video, and drone, while highlighting how immersive visuals can create a deep connection to a destination before ever stepping foot inside.
Why Casa Blanca is a perfect retreat
Luxurious interiors designed for comfort and connection
Step inside Casa Blanca, and you’re immediately greeted by a light-filled space. A space that feels as soothing, bringing a cellular level sense of ease and serenity. The interiors balance elegant simplicity with thoughtful touches. Creating an environment where you feel instantly at home and all that is life to do is truly unwind. Each room has been thoughtfully curated to maximise comfort. From the spacious living areas where Sonos speakers cocoon you in gentle music, and the tranquil bedrooms bathed in soft, natural light that traces across the south facing horizon.
A space to gather and create memories
Casa Blanca offers more than just places to stay, it provides spaces to connect. The open-plan living room is perfect for conversation and shared meals. While the dining area seamlessly opens onto a deck where alfresco dining becomes an necessity. Even on a bright fresh day in early January at Camber Sands. Every corner of this home invites gatherings. Whether around the fire pit under the stars or on the deck with the rhythmic sound of waves in the background.
Storytelling through photography and videography
Bringing spaces to life with visual storytelling
My experience at Casa Blanca on Camber Sands wasn’t just about enjoying the space. It was about capturing its essence through the lens. Lifestyle photography and videography play a crucial role in connecting us to the places we dream of visiting. Using a combination of interiors, lifestyle, and drone photography and videography, I loved feeling the sense of place that Casa Blanca evokes. As well as translating that into meaningful photos and video.

Why storytelling matters for travel and lifestyle brands
Imagery has the power to transport us. For brands like Camber Holiday Cottages, visual storytelling can weave the narrative of a destination. Making it feel alive and one to swoon over, dreaming of when you could get to stay. Casa Blanca, with its stunning light and design, really is a jewel of a property to experience. Leading on how a space can feel like a home away from home.
Experiencing the magic of Camber Sands
The perfect beachside location
Casa Blanca’s proximity to the Camber Sand’s beach is unmatched. The garden gate opens directly onto the beach, inviting morning strolls and sunset views that leave you awe-inspired. Whether sipping coffee on the deck at sunrise or watching the tide roll in through floor-to-ceiling windows, every moment here feels deeply connected to the rhythm of nature.

Why Camber Sands inspires creativity
There’s something transformative about the vast, open sands of Camber. The beach provides a space where creativity flows freely, making it ideal for retreats and getaways alike. It was a space that supported me to get into creative flow when dreaming and scheming ideas for my work in the coming year. Casa Blanca enhances this by offering a luxurious retreat that mirrors the beauty of its surroundings.

Why professional visuals elevate destinations
Creating emotional connections with potential visitors
Investing in professional photography and videography allows accommodation hosts, and destination marketing organisations to communicate their story powerfully. From showcasing the liminal moment of how first light breaks through the window to the sweeping views captured by drone photography, these visuals invite potential visitors to step into the story they’re yet to write.
My approach to interiors and lifestyle photography
My goal is always to create imagery that feels authentic and deeply connected. By blending lifestyle and interior shots with environmental visuals, I aim to present a holistic view of what it feels like to experience a space. For Casa Blanca at Camber Sands, this meant capturing both the grandeur of its design and the intimacy of its details. And nature totally treated us during my stay. The UK, gripped by a cold snap in early January with hard frosts and the thrill of seeing the sea starting to evaporate to freeze created moments I’ll hold with me forever. More about that freezing moment here.
Casa Blanca is more than just a beach house, it’s a sanctuary. Whether gathered around the fire pit under the stars or soaking in panoramic views of Camber Sands, every moment here is infused with magic. Working with Camber Holiday Cottages and Massey Travel to capture this space was an incredible opportunity. To showcase how thoughtful design and immersive storytelling can create an unforgettable experience.
If you’re looking to elevate your destination with professional visuals, I’d love to chat. Or if you’re feeling called to book a Shoot and Stay retreat that stays with you long after you’ve left, Casa Blanca at Camber Sands is waiting.

About me
Hey my love, I’m Rebecca, a visual storyteller, unleashing the power of photo and video to rewilding our connection to nature.
By illuminating the liminal space where myth, magick and intellect meet, we ignite collective curiosity, enchantment and awe to empower the healing of people and planet.
My work as a photographer and ocean storyteller has taken me from the wild coasts of Scotland to the wild edges of Iceland. A lover of the night and called an ‘early pioneer of noctourism’ by CNBC, my heart seeks out wonder when the world goes dark.
It was with immense gratitude and a sense of deepening purpose that a story I captured gain 2nd Place in the Conservation (Impact) category for Ocean Photographer of the Year 2024.
As President of the Board of Trustees for Whale Wise and a Marine Mammal Medic with BDMLR, I advocate for our blue planet through powerful visuals and purpose-driven narratives.
Together, let’s embrace the wild edges where of people, place, and planet meet.
