Rooted visibility begins in the dark. At Samhain, the light wanes as one year ends and we descend into the darkest part of the year. It’s a turning point that invites us to honour the unseen and the unknown. And within this darkness, there’s a quiet potency, the fertile grounds to give space for clarity,…
Rewilding is often thought of as a conservation effort, but for me it is something more spiritual and metaphorical. That’s why, embracing this philosophy has become a deeply personal practice. It’s about reconnecting with the untamed, cyclical wisdom of the earth. By aligning with the Wheel of the Year, we can (re)-discover our connection to…
Liminal spaces are something that I am drawn to. A metaphor that describes the in-between moments of life. Where we give way to things we know, step into the unknown and transformation begins. These magickal thresholds are deeply rooted in the Wheel of the Year. An ancient guide to living in harmony with the cycles…
Samhain is not a night of trick-or-treats and cheap plastic masks. It is not a caricature of witches flying broomsticks, nor something to be reduced to gothic aesthetics and pumpkin-scented marketing. It is far more ancient, far more sacred than that. Samhain is a portal. It is the end of one year and the beginning…
A sacred gathering at the edge of the year. Samhain arrives like a hush. The year exhales and the veil thins. Nature grows quiet, descending to rest and surrender to the softness beneath it all. Each year, as the leaves fall and the dark stretches its wings, I gather with my closest friends in ceremony….
Samhain is a threshold of light and dark. The light of day gives way to longer nights. This ancient festival falls at the midpoint between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice, and in this window of time, something profound shifts, not just in the season, but in our bodies, our rhythms, our very way…
Samhain is the great descent. A portal in the wheel where the veil thins, the light dwindles, and the soul begins its spiral inward. Rooted in ancient Celtic tradition, Samhain marks the end of the harvest and the beginning of winter. It’s a liminal time, the end of one year and the beginning of a…
Returning to the wild rhythm. There’s a particular kind of hush that settles at Samhain. A quieting of the land, the light and with awareness the self too. The veil between worlds thins, and the call to come closer to nature deepens. As the final harvest is gathered and the trees begin to bare their…
Samhain: Nurturing Our Bond with Nature and Ancestry The nights I hold dearest are those which are still and dark… Where I’m wrapped up warm but my cheeks are cold. It’s in these moments I can really feel the season, the elemental shift. A time when I feel the most alive and connected. It’s like…
