Curiosity as a
Creative Practice

A one-to-one session for reawakening how you see

photography lesson, mentoring and coaching in thanet, kent, uk, photographer and student standing on beach looking at cameras

What we explore together

Curiosity is not a personality trait. It is a way of perceiving the world.

This one-to-one session is designed to help you reconnect with curiosity as a creative practice, not as something you perform or manufacture, but as something you learn to listen to again.

It supports photographers and creatives who feel stuck, over-reliant on formulas or disconnected from the original spark that drew them to making images in the first place.

Rather than focusing on technical settings or outputs, this session works with attention, presence and perception. We slow down. We notice. We allow images to emerge through relationship rather than instruction.

This is a guided, field-based session shaped by place, light and what unfolds in the moment.

Who this is for

This session is for you if:

You feel creatively blocked or disconnected from your work

Photography has started to feel mechanical or overly outcome-driven

You want to move beyond rules and presets into a more responsive way of seeing

You are neurodivergent or highly sensory and feel traditional teaching hasn’t worked for you

You want your images to feel more alive, intentional and rooted in attention

You do not need to be an advanced photographer. You simply need curiosity and a willingness to slow down.

  • what you’d like to gain from the session
  • your availability, Monday to Friday, over the next 4–8 weeks

I schedule one-to-one sessions a maximum of eight weeks in advance, and availability is limited to weekdays only. This allows sessions to stay responsive to the season we’re in and my availability.
