With over 15 years of photography experience under my belt, I’ve cultivated a portfolio that offers a rare blend of capturing powerful images of people, as well as diverse experience capturing wildlife, landscapes, interiors and architecture. My lens doesn’t just capture scenes from the ground but also from the sky! And of course underwater, weaving together narratives that transcend the ordinary into the extraordinary.

How long have you been flying drones for? 

With 8 years of experience flying drones and capturing drone photography for a variety of projects, I’ve honed my skills in the air and blend this with collaboration, teamwork, and meticulous planning. From securing permits and permissions to mapping out flight plans that optimise lighting conditions. Every detail is thoughtfully considered to ensure the final images align seamlessly with the client’s vision.

What do you love about flying drones? 

Whether it’s navigating the intricacies of flying bustling urban areas or exploring the tranquil landscapes of remote wilderness, each location presents its own set of challenges and opportunities. From large-scale national campaigns captured in city centres to capturing the rugged beauty of Scotland’s Highlands and Islands, no terrain is too daunting, no vision too ambitious.

There’s a magic that ignites within me every time I take flight with my drone. It’s a magic that transcends the ordinary, soaring beyond the confines of the everyday world. For me, flying drones isn’t just about capturing breathtaking aerial footage; it’s about experiencing the world from a perspective that few ever get to witness. A perspective that is both humbling and awe-inspiring. 

It is this that makes drone images a powerful tool in marketing, because they tap into the viewers imagination. This perspective has the capacity to unlock the truest expression of freedom — a freedom that knows no bounds. One that can be a really powerful narrative to use to support clients and creative agencies on campaigns.

What I love most about flying drones is the opportunity to see the world through a lens of infinite possibility. From the moment my drone takes to the skies, I’m transported to a realm where the boundaries between earth and sky blur. Where the familiar becomes extraordinary, and where the mundane is transformed into the extraordinary.

But it’s not just the bird’s-eye view that captivates me… It’s the way in which drones allow me to explore the liminal spaces between land and sea, where the elements collide and nature paints its most organic artistry. As I hover above rugged coastlines, I witness the ebb and flow of the tide… The dance of light and shadow… And the ever-changing tapestry of colours that adorn the foreshore.

I’ve flown my drones from mountain tops and across the sea

Journeying across the UK and Europe, fuelling my love for adventure and a deep awe of the natural world, reminding myself of the privilege it is to bear witness to moments of breathtaking beauty.

What truly fuels my passion is the opportunity to immerse myself in the raw beauty of nature. To traverse subzero temperatures in pursuit of the perfect shot. To embrace the untamed wilderness as my playground.

My drone work has graced the pages of international publications and I’ve been interviewed by  National Geographic about travelling with drones and Times Radio on a feature ‘odd job’ delving into weird and wonderful careers! I am passionate too about supporting women to get into flying drones. So much so that I co-founded a community ‘The UK female drone collective’ – creating supportive space for women who fly drones or are interested in starting out.
