Liminal being

a forever threshold the wild edges within

I have always lived at the edges.
Not quite here, not quite there.
Hovering in the space between –
between knowing and not knowing,
between earth and sky,
between the world as it is, and the world as it could be.
For a long time, I didn’t have a name for it.
The sensitivity. The overstimulation. The patterns I saw in everything.
The way I could feel a story in the air before it had even been spoken.
In 2021, I learned I’m an ADHDer.
But still there was an edge, a part of the story not fully told.
In 2024, my autism diagnoses explained my own narrative
A homecoming to life forever becoming,
I’m a liminal being, an AuDHDer.
And suddenly, the fragments began to form something whole.

My brain doesn’t move in straight lines.
It fizzes. Swirls. Sparks.
It weaves wonder into warning, urgency into awe.
It senses the unseen, the liminal, the edge of what’s coming next.
This is the alchemy that shapes my work.
ADHD, the creative fire, overflowing with the thrill of potentiality, dreams and visions.
Autism, the tender anchor, rooting precision, a thirst for knowledge, integrity and deep intuition.
Together, they are my fertile grounds in co-creation.
Together, they carry me across thresholds –
from idea to image, from instinct to impact.

I am a Liminal Being. An Edge Walker. A Way Shower.
To photograph the world is how I feel the world.
I immerse myself in wild places not to escape, but to listen.
To read the messages in of earth, sea and sky.
To follow the flicker of curiosity toward deeper connection.
Visual storytelling, a translation of processing it all.

My AuDHD brain is my compass.
It is the reason this work exists.
The reason I see things others overlook.
The reason I sense urgency and beauty in the same breath.

This is devotion.

To the more-than-human world.
To the liminal spaces that hold transformation.
To the belief that wonder can spark action.

A rewilding of our connection to nature – as part of nature.

So I found home in these wild edges.
To be AuDHD is to live as a liminal being —
to trust that the only constant is alchemy,
your potency realised forever in motion.

Where the known gives way to the unknown.
Where myth, magick and intellect collide
Where nature’s messengers remind us
that we belong to something far greater than ourselves.
