Nature, Wildlife & Conservation Photography

Visual storytelling that deepens understanding and strengthens connection

Some stories hold weight

Many mainstream narratives that shape how we see the natural world have been constructed inside systems that treat nature as a resource.

That story is failing every living thing on this planet.

Before people care, they need to feel a connection.

Before they act, they need to understand what is at stake.

This is where this work begins.

I create nature and wildlife conservation photography and visual stories for organisations, researchers and environmental initiatives that translate complex, often unseen realities into something people can feel, understand and respond to.

When perception shifts, everything changes

THE RESPONSIBILITY OF NATURE STORYTELLING

The intelligence of ecosystems. The fragility of species at the edge of survival. The interconnectedness of everything, how one creature, one habitat, one shift in ocean temperature changes the whole story.

Bringing people closer to environments they may never encounter directly is how my nature, wildlife and conservation photography work creates the conditions for care. When storytelling creates connection, awareness becomes action.

My work is grounded in lived experience

within these environments, alongside a background in geography and marine protected areas.

I work from within the environments to capture nature, wildlife and conservation photography, in the water, on research vessels, in the field alongside the people doing this work. My background in geography and marine protected areas, combined with my role as President of the Board of Trustees at Whale Wise, means I approach every project with both creative sensitivity and ecological understanding.

This work is created with an awareness of ethics, access and impact. The process of making it is as considered as the outcome.

Stories shaped at the wild edges

The strongest conservation stories emerge where scientific knowledge meets lived experience, where careful observation meets emotion, and where people begin to see themselves as part of the story rather than separate from it.

Through photography, film and aerial storytelling, I work alongside researchers, conservation organisations and environmental partners to create narratives that deepen understanding, inspire stewardship and help people reconnect with the living world.

The power of environmental storytelling

A curated selection of conservation and nature-led storytelling

Stories are radical. They have the power to disrupt the narratives we inherit and reshape how we see, awakening awareness and empowering action.

Nature, wildlife, conservation and environmental photography and storytelling sits at that threshold. Where science, story and visual narrative come together to reconnect us with the natural world, not as something separate, but as something we are part of.

This is where awareness becomes felt. Where curiosity deepens into care. Where story begins to shape what comes next.

Wildfire at Langdale Moor, Nature and Wildlife conservation photography, citizen science

The myth of ‘wildfires’

Wildfires are often framed as distant or seasonal, yet here they revealed something closer to home, dry ground, shifting conditions and the fragile balance we depend on.

Real change begins with connection. Let’s create visual stories that help people see what is worth protecting.
