Friluftsliv
Friluftsliv is a Norwegian term meaning free air life, a philosophy to live life by. Regardless of the time of year, curious souls to find their way back to nature, being in nature, see how precious it is and how much fulfilment can come from quality time connecting with nature. It isn't just about exercise but a whole way of life, being outdoors for physical and spiritual wellness.
When I first stumbled on this ethos it filled me with so much joy, as it is how I love to spend my life, outdoors as much as possible, being led by nature and cyclical living guiding my life and this ripples through all that I do with photography.
I have travelled to Arctic Norway in summer, autumn and winter. It has been majestic to experience 24 hour daylight, through to seeing the sun set in deep winter and it would not rise again for another 6 weeks!
This is where I share hints and tips about travelling in Norway & feel inspired by the friluftsliv!
Get outdoors, ground with the earth, soak in the sky, gaze at the stars.
