Wild Edges
solo photography exhibition
Wild Edges
The Wild Edges photography exhibition is an exploration of the places where nature’s raw beauty and human curiosity meet. It’s about the fringes and those liminal spaces where the known gives way to the unknown and the wilderness calls us into the mystery of the untamed.
Therefore, each photo is a story and stories tap into the deepest parts of our humanity. They also help us unravel what we know. In addition, they also challenge us to reimagine all that is possible.
Inviting you over a threshold to a place where nature’s messages are amplified. They are also entwined with my own story. Additionally, I also share how I came to meet those boundaries and wild edges within me.
The exhibition ran for 3 months during 2024.

Why wild edges?
You’ll find wild edges where you meet a threshold. They represent a transitional zone or boundary where cultivated or human-managed land meets natural and untamed wilderness. For me, a wild edge has both literal and metaphorical meanings, and the alchemy of how they fuse is also deeply entwined with how I shoot.
In ecological terms, the wild edge is the area where farmland, gardens, or urban environments border forests, meadows, wetlands, or other natural landscapes. Additionally, it’s where the low tide line meets the sea, islands, and where day meets night. This liminal space is hard to pinpoint exactly where one stops and the other starts. Moreover, wild edges are often rich in biodiversity. As they combine elements of both managed and wild ecosystems, they create unique habitats for a variety of plant and animal species.
Metaphorically, the wild edge represents a space of transformation and possibility for our inner landscape and how it navigates the outside world. It’s where the structured, predictable aspects of life intersect with the unpredictable, raw beauty of nature. Therefore, this edge is a place of potential, where new ideas, creativity, and growth can flourish, unbound by conventional constraints.
When you are deeply connected to nature, the wild edge symbolises the merging of human experience with the natural world. By opening your heart to curiosity, you too can embrace the untamed aspects of life and find beauty and meaning in places where control meets chaos, cultivation meets wilderness, and order meets enchantment.

About me
My Wild Edges photography exhibition invites you to rewild your connection to nature through the power of storytelling. Stories tap into the deepest parts of our humanity and unravel what we know. In doing so, this challenges us to reimagine all that is possible. Therefore, it is my mission is to re-enchant the collective imagination and curiosity and bring us together to live and work from a place of devotion to our planet. As well as take radical action to protect it.
As a result of being diagnosed with ADHD later in life, I have embraced how this gives me a unique perspective and challenges patriarchal norms. Interestingly, this also encourages others to show up as their true selves. Additionally, my work reflects a profound shift towards a conscious and sustainable lifestyle. That also rejects hyper-consumption and embraces authentic living.
Through my lens, I deepen my connection to nature and advocate for healing both the planet and ourselves.
I envision a world where everyone feels safe to be seen just as they are, free from societal constructs. My photography is a call to radical self-expression and sustainability, as well as promoting change and progress. Therefore, each image is a testament to my belief in rewilding our souls and reawakening our sense of awe and enchantment.
A journey of authenticity and connection, and the relentless pursuit of a more harmonious world.

I believe stories have the power to transform the world.
My soul’s calling is to illuminate and amplify nature’s messages and messengers by harnessing the transformative power of storytelling.
However, change begins with individuals. Storytelling meets people where they are at and the hook of intrigue walks people over a threshold. A threshold where imagination unlocks and interestingly, it opens the door to a whole new way of being.
Therefore, story is remarkable. Sparking individual awakening and enchantment with the interconnectedness of all life. It also amplifies collective action for positive change.
As a result, it is my mission to ignite this ripple effect through storytelling.

On overcoming wild edges…
1997
Interestingly, my Saturday job while I was at school involved developing 35mm film, and this is also where my photography obsession began.
2010
Additionally, I started my photography business while I was also lecturing and gradually built it up. However, this was until I reached the wild edge of taking the leap to go full-time self-employed.
2020
Upon realising I had ADHD, I therefore decided to stop shooting weddings and pivot toward nature-connected lifestyle and branding photography.
2021
Diagnosed with ADHD in December ’21, this diagnosis also opened up so many wild edges that had previously felt off-limits to me.
my story of meeting wild edges
An unexpected moment…
and how i came to meet a wild edge
Suffering from extreme motion sickness my whole life, interestingly one of the amazing side effects of my ADHD diagnosis is that the meds have taken me over a wild edge I never thought I’d cross. As a result, they’ve cured my motion sickness. This has allowed me to explore liminal places and islands that I had always dreamed of seeing but never thought possible. Furthermore, my diagnosis has opened up opportunities to travel to these places and, in turn, share these incredible stories with you.
