In a world where individualism often reigns supreme, the power of gathering in circles, especially for women, is an ancient practice that holds profound significance in today’s busy world. Beyond a mere social gathering, the power that can be felt when women come together in circle resonates deeply, entwined with the essence of community, empowerment, and sisterhood. 

This is why I created The Gathering, a brand shoot with soulful sisterhood, community and connection at the heart. As we prepare to celebrate the returning of the light, on the Spring Equinox – the halfway point between the winter and summer solstice, this is your invitation to join me as I host the spring edition of the Gathering at Chapel House Estate in Kent, on Wednesday 20th March 2024.

The divine Meegan Bradley will lead the circle with breathwork, journaling and intention setting for the season ahead. We’ll ground in the opening circle, take part in a mini-brand shoot and get to connect with other likeminded souls. I’ll be there to capture photos as the magick unfolds in breathtaking indoor and outdoor spaces as we explore the incredible house, walled garden, orchards and paddocks.

Here are 5 reasons why I believe it’s so powerful for women to gather in circle spaces.

1. Creating meaningful spaces

In circle, we respect every woman’s voice – hearing, valuing and respecting. It’s a sanctuary where we embrace vulnerability and leave judgment at the door. Women often face unique challenges and societal pressures, and in these spaces, you can share your experiences without fear of criticism or invalidation. Through open dialogue and active listening, women can find solace in knowing they have been witnessed.

The power of connection among women is unparalleled. In circle we form bonds and nurture friendships and in doing so create support systems. Whether celebrating achievements or navigating through difficult times, women uplift and inspire one another. I love gathering in circle with women. The significance of women gathering in circle spaces extends far beyond the circle itself. It’s a sacred ritual that honours the innate wisdom, strength, and resilience of the feminine spirit. 

As women reclaim their voices, reclaim their power, and reclaim their place in the world, the ripple effects of their collective presence reverberate through generations, inspiring hope, healing, and positive change.
